The Artist
Jacoulet is considered one of the few western artists to have mastered the art of woodblock printing that mixed the traditional ukiyo-e style and included techniques developed by the artist himself.

Each Plate in this Series is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Process
Based on the principles of true woodblock printing, a new process was developed to recreate the art on handmade Mulberry Japanese paper creating a new and vibrant masterpiece.
As many as forty-five individual colours were ‘blocked’ when creating each of
the plates, combined with the finest of lightfast inks & museum quality archival media.
Each print is enhanced with gold, silver, platinum and mother of pearl, as it was in the original edition.
